In the summer of 2017 I was feeling the effects of being “OLD” or so I thought. At 41 I felt like my body controlled me instead of the other way around. I was trying to eat ‘healthy” but it didn’t seem to matter. I was cooking my meals from home, reducing processed foods and eating plenty of healthy fats.

My metabolism seemed to grind to a halt and I was concerned about my health. My weight kept climbing month after month.I was fed up with being exhausted and feeling helpless as to the body shape I saw in the mirror. I had tried a lot of different things over the last few years and really felt hopeless. My goal at this time was merely to STOP GAINING WEIGHT. Can you relate?

No mind blowing goals here! I googled and researched and what I found was hours of time spent looking for the perfect diet, the best macros, the ultimate workout plan. I did the trial and error. My first month of weight training at the gym left me frustrated because I lost just 2 pounds. I realized it had to do MOST with what I was putting in my mouth and did EVEN MORE research. And then I developed it: the perfect mix, an eating plan paired with activity! It was so great because as a 41 year old mom there was really nothing out there for me.
